Mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease (IV-2)
The Butler Hospital Memory & Aging Program is
conducting a clinical research study of an Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IV-2) treatment.
This
study tests whether the investigational drug IV-2 safely slows the
rate of decline of dementia symptoms in patients with mild to moderate
Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).
Qualified participants must be:
- from 55 to 85 years of age
- diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease
- not taking Coumadin®
- accompanied by a regular caregiver to 9 office visits, plus 36 infusions, which may take place at home after initial infusions, over a 1.5-year period
